Many of the modern and sophisticated nightclubs can be found in the casino resorts. Some are open to the public, while others are exclusive to resort or VIP guests. The design of casino nightclubs matches the grandeur of the resort itself. Many are multi-level with spectacular panoramic views of the Strip. Las Vegas attracts high end shows that are booked in venues for three or more years. In previous years, Celine Dion, Cher, Elton John and Bette Midler all made their home in Las Vegas for long-term contracts at high-end casino resorts.
Revue shows are synonymous with Las Vegas and there are plenty of them held nightly, complete with showgirls in elaborate costumes. From circus acts to special events, casinos on and off the Strip are renowned for discovering rising stars, producing innovative shows, or booking entertainment spectaculars. Many are long-standing shows, such as Cirque du Soleil and comedian magicians Penn & Teller. This strategy means that whenever someone visits Las Vegas, dozens of top name acts are in town.
