Recipe For Homemade Neem Oil Soap & Plants

Neem provides your skin with germ-fighting action.

Extracted from the neem tree, neem oil presents itself as a beneficial ingredient in skincare and soap. It possesses natural antibacterial properties which make it useful in homemade soaps for acne, burns and sensitive skin. Making your own soap with neem oil and plant extracts provides you with an easy endeavor that results in naturally beneficial botanical soaps.

Instructions

1. Add the goat milk soap base to the glass bowl along with the neem oil.

2. Microwave the bowl on high for two minutes, or until the soap base turns into a white, thin liquid.

3. Mix the melted soap and neem oil thoroughly, adding the essential plant oils while you stir.

4. Pour the melted mixture into a soap mold of choice. Freeze the soap mold for an hour. Freezing for longer may result in sweating, which softens your bar and negates the lathering abilities.

5. Pop the bar out of the mold. You can either wrap it for later use, or use it immediately. It should last about six months.
