Flexible class schedules allow students to attend classes while working full time. Dental assistant classes run for eight weeks, each Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Hands-on training includes sterilization, taking impressions and talking to patients. The pharmacy technician program lasts four weeks, and requires completion of an internship. Training includes pharmacy laws and learning dose medications properly. The CNA program lasts six to 12 weeks and includes basic nursing skills, anatomy and infection control. The optometric assistant program includes contact lens modification, adjusting and repairing glasses, and working with patients undergoing visual therapy. The cost of each program as of 2010 is $2,500 plus a $25 application fee. There is a $500 deposit required upon enrollment.
