Make Neem Oil Spray

To maintain your garden plants' health and beauty, it is important to keep insects under control. Some people use Neem oil as an effective organic and biodegradable insecticide to control pest like aphids, thrips, mealy bugs and many others. To prevent any insect problems, learn to make Neem oil spray at home. Does this Spark an idea?


Instructions


1. Mix 1 to 1 ? teaspoons of liquid soap to approximately 1 gallon of warm water in the large container.


2. Add 1 ounce of Neem oil slowly to the mix in Step 1 and stir well. Note that you should only prepare as much of the solution as you can use within 4 to 8 hours because it loses it's potency. Keep it in a cool place until ready for use.


3. Fill the spray bottle with the solution to use on the soil and plants.


4. Spray the Neem oil solution on the soil around plant roots and on all leaves, top and underside. Cover the plants completely.


5. Make Neem oil spray once a week for four weeks and use it to protect your plants from any pest infestations. For a severe infestation, you should increase the Neem oil concentration and use until your plants are pest free.
