Medical Advice On Keep Mosquitoes From Biting You

The mosquito can be the most annoying bug that reminds us of warm summer nights or weekend camping trips. Most people don't realize it is only the female mosquito that sucks your blood. They feed on your blood to feed their larvae. Many people think just using bug spray is their only option. However, there are many ways to keep mosquitoes from biting you.

Instructions

1. Use lavender, tea tree or citronella oils rubbed on your skin to prevent mosquitoes from biting. If you have sensitive skin, you may want to dilute these oils with corn oil before applying full strength.

2. Apply a deet-based bug repellent to prevent mosquitoes from biting. Deet is a strong chemical that repels bugs and mosquitoes from biting. Many people don't like using products with deet because it can melt nail polish and plastic when applied. So far, studies have shown that deet is safe, but use your best judgment.

3. Plant geraniums and marigolds near where you spend time outside. Mosquitoes are repelled from the scent of these plants.

4. Take a B-1 supplement to prevent mosquito bites. Some studies have shown this may repeal bites.

5. Wear long-sleeved pants and shirts to prevent bites on your arms and legs.

6. Dab real vanilla on your skin. Vanilla has been known to repel mosquitoes.
