The 90th percentile earned at or above $91,970 a year, while those in the 10th percentile earned at or below $49,130 annually.


Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technologists


Medical and laboratory technologists are required to perform laboratory tests that help to diagnose, treat and prevent illnesses. You may also be responsible for overseeing and training various staff. This field had a total of 164,430 positions in 2010 with a mean annual salary of $56,870. Those in the 90th percentile earned at or above $76,780 annually, while those in the 10th percentile earned at or below $38,810 a year in 2010.


Cardiovascular Technologists

Cardiovascular technologists do testing on a patient's cardiovascular system for diagnosing potential problems. You may work with electrocardiograms or test the capacity of a person's lungs. Veterinary Technologists


Veterinarian technologists help to prepare samples from animals to diagnose illness.


Veterinary technologists conduct various tests that help to treat and diagnose illnesses in animals. You may also prepare vaccinations, take samples of blood and prepare samples of tissue for analysis. This field had 79,870 positions in 2010, with a mean annual compensation of $31,030. Those in the 90th percentile earned at or above $44,030, while those in the 10th percentile earned at or below $20,500 a year in 2010.
